On the afternoon of August 18, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended and delivered a speech directing the first Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030, of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh assessed that the past term was a special one, marking a historical milestone not only for the internal affairs sector but also for the entire political system, especially in the work of restructuring the apparatus.

According to the Government leader, the Ministry of Home Affairs has played a pioneering role in advising and implementing a revolution in organizational structure, recreating a new development space for the country. The requirements are extremely urgent, requiring very high quality advice, but in a very short time.

To complete this huge, complex and unprecedented workload, the leadership, cadres and party members of the ministry have made extraordinary efforts. "Behind that massive workload are many worries and concerns, with hasty meals and sleepless nights," Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized.

During the 2025-2030 term, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to focus on key tasks, including building a clean and strong Party; streamlining the apparatus, and effectively operating two-level local governments.

Along with that, perfecting the institution on cadres and civil servants, promoting talents, evaluating the substance; ensuring social security, taking care of people with merit. There needs to be a strong mechanism to regularly screen and eliminate weak and irresponsible cadres, at the same time having a superior treatment policy to attract and retain talented people, and having an effective mechanism to protect those who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good.

According to the Government leader, people must be placed at the center to implement social security policies comprehensively and effectively. The Ministry of Home Affairs must take care of people with meritorious services while aiming to build a multi-layered, flexible and modern social security system.

In addition, it is necessary to develop a dynamic and effective labor market, completely liberating production and labor; continue to reform social insurance and unemployment insurance policies so that they can truly be a safe support for workers.

At the Congress, Mr. Chu Dinh Dong, Deputy Head of the Government Party Committee's Organization Commission, announced the decisions of the Government Party Committee's Standing Committee on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 2025-2030 term. According to the decision, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Government Party Committee's Standing Committee, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.

The Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee appointed 29 members to join the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 2025-2030 term. The Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee also appointed 9 members to join the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.
