Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem leaves Sacombank after 8 years as general director.

(NLDO) – Sacombank's Board of Directors has just approved the resignation of Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem according to her personal wishes.

On June 18, the Board of Directors of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank ( Sacombank ) has just passed a resolution approving the resignation of Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem as a member of the Board of Directors and ceasing to participate in the Board of Directors' activities, effective from June 17, according to her personal wishes.

The resignation letter will be submitted to the nearest General Meeting of Shareholders to consider the dismissal of the position of member of the Board of Directors according to regulations.

Previously, on May 22, Sacombank's Board of Directors approved the decision to dismiss Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem from the position of General Director and appointed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhung as Acting General Director of Sacombank.

Thus, Ms. Diem officially left Sacombank after nearly 8 years as the bank's general director. Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem was born in 1973 and holds a PhD in Finance - Banking from the Academy of Finance. She took on the position of General Director in 2017, when Sacombank was officially approved to implement the post-merger restructuring project.

Before being appointed as Acting General Director, then General Director since 2017, Ms. Diem was Deputy General Director in charge of debt settlement activities - one of the key activities that Sacombank is focusing on implementing according to the orientation of the post-merger bank restructuring project approved by the State Bank.
