One year after launching the MacBook Pro with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, Apple has just introduced a new generation of this product with three chip options M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max, providing outstanding performance.
Thus, the MacBook Pro will be the first product of the “Apple” company to be equipped with the brand new M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Previously, Apple only introduced the M4 chip, used on the iPad Pro, iMac and Mac Mini.
According to Apple, the MacBook Pro with M4 chip will be 3.4 times faster than the MacBook Pro with M1 chip that was released 3 years ago. Similarly, the MacBook Pro with M4 Max chip and M4 Pro chip will be 3 times and 3.5 times faster than the MacBook Pro with M1 Max chip and M1 Pro chip.
Thanks to the improved performance of the new processor, the battery life of the new generation MacBook Pro has also been improved. Although the battery capacity has not changed, Apple promises that the product will provide 2 more hours of web browsing and up to 4 hours of video streaming.
In addition to the chip upgrade, the MacBook Pro also has a minimum RAM capacity increased to 16GB, double that of the MacBook Pro version launched last year. This allows the device to better support Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features.
The MacBook Pro M4 comes in two screen size options: 14 inches and 16 inches. The 14-inch version has the M4 chip option, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro only has the M4 Pro and M4 Max chip options.
The starting version of the new MacBook Pro will have a 14-inch screen option, M4 chip with 10 central processing cores and 10 graphics processing cores, 16GB RAM, 512GB hard drive storage and will be priced at 39.99 million VND.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro version with the highest configuration option including M4 Max chip with 16 central processing cores and 40 graphics processing cores, 128GB RAM, 2TB hard drive storage will cost 172.49 million VND.
Meanwhile, the MacBook with the basic optional 16-inch screen will include the M4 Pro chip with 14 central processing cores and 20 graphics processing cores, 24GB RAM, 512GB hard drive storage and will be priced at 64.99 million VND.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro version has the highest configuration, with an M4 Max chip with 16 central processing cores and 40 graphics processing cores, 128GB RAM and 8TB hard drive storage, and will have a selling price of 182.49 million VND.
All new generation MacBook Pro versions with the optional nano-texture screen to prevent glare and reflection will have an additional price of 3.8 million VND.
