According to Lao Dong's investigation, in order to gradually reduce traffic congestion and accidents here, the Hanoi People's Council has unanimously approved the investment policy, upgrading and expanding Highway 70 (from Trinh Van Bo Street to the end of Nam Tu Liem District). The project is nearly 5 km long with a total capital of nearly 3,400 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District, implemented in the period of 2022 - 2027. Accordingly, in the period of 2021-2025, with budget capital, Hanoi will invest in upgrading a number of key infrastructure routes and irrigation works; including the project to upgrade Road 70, Ha Dong - Van Dien section. According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the project to invest in the construction and expansion of Road 70, Ha Dong - Van Dien section, is more than 5km long, with a total estimated investment of VND 2,823 billion, and will be implemented in the period of 2022-2026. After completing the upgrading and renovation, the route is expected to become a foundation for socio-economic development as well as serving the travel needs of the people. The project started in October 2016, expected to be completed after 3 years. However, up to now, the project is still stagnant due to land clearance problems of more than 200 households in Yen So and Mai Dong wards.

The People's Committee of Hoang Mai District recently announced that the project's bottlenecks have been resolved, and local authorities and related units have been urgently completing procedures so that contractors can resume construction soon. At the end of 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the adjustment of the implementation time of the Tam Trinh Road Investment and Construction Project from 2016 to 2026, 7 years later than the previous plan. The total investment of the project is 3,354 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,287 billion VND. The expanded Tam Trinh Road will serve people's travel needs, reduce traffic pressure on the main roads of the southern gateway of the capital, and contribute to promoting local socio-economic development./.
