10 years of establishing relations between Nam Tra My and Hamyang district (Korea): proof of solidarity and mutual development

On the afternoon of August 1, in Nam Tra My commune (Da Nang), a ceremony was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of cooperative relations between Nam Tra My commune and Hamyang district (South Korea), affirming the solidarity, exchange, and cooperation for mutual development between the two sides.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee Tran Van Man said that over the past 10 years, the two sides have organized many working trips to visit, learn and exchange experiences with each other. They have supported the construction of a kindergarten for children in Tra Linh Commune, given small but meaningful gifts and left deep impressions on the people of Nam Tra My and students before the new school year.

On August 1, 2024, the two localities signed a brotherhood agreement, together aiming for new goals on the basis of cooperation and mutual development. With their responsibilities, Nam Tra My commune and its sister communes including Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Leng, Tra Linh will continue to implement the contents signed with Hamyang district.

Mr. Tran Van Man suggested that Hamyang District continue to create favorable conditions, each year from 300 to 500 workers will be employed to partly solve the labor shortage in the agricultural sector of Hamyang District and solve jobs for workers of children in the area of 05 communes including Nam Tra My, Tra Linh, Tra Tap, Tra Leng and Tra Van.

Hamyang District Chief Jin Byung Young expressed his joy at attending the 7th Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival as well as the warm welcome from the authorities of Nam Tra My commune and communes of the old Nam Tra My district.

Mr. Jin Byung Young pledged to continue to maintain the cooperation program, increase support for workers from 5 communes of the old Nam Tra My district through seasonal labor in Hamyang. Currently, Hamyang district has built more dormitories to welcome seasonal workers from Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh and Tra Leng communes for upcoming labor.

On this occasion, the two sides also organized a tree planting program at Nam Tra My commune park, including 20 wallflowers. Nam Tra My commune also decided to name this park Nam Tra My – Hamyang Friendship Park to demonstrate solidarity, exchange, cooperation and development.
