Over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has created a valuable legacy - a solid foundation, a proud journey. Through the ups and downs of the country, the press has not only been a loyal companion of the people but also a pioneering force, contributing to orienting thoughts, spreading good values, and giving wings to ideals and beliefs in a prosperous and progressive future.
For the development and survival of the country, the Vietnamese press has been affirming its irreplaceable role in all fields: politics , economics, culture, society. Behind those achievements are the tireless footsteps, sweat, tears and sometimes even blood of honest, brave journalists who always put ideals, truth and humanity above all.

They are people who carry within them the aspiration for a civilized, fair and humane society; they are the inheritors of the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people, who do not bow down to power or temptation; they are people who live with deep compassion and a passionate love for their profession like fire. Their sacrifices are silent but extremely great.
For them, a press card is not only a professional passport, but also a diploma from the harsh “school of life”. It is a symbol of courage, knowledge and responsibility to the community. They are the ones who protect justice, speak up for the right things, inspire people to live beautifully, live kindly and contribute to building a society that respects the law, is humane and sustainable.
Every article, every photo, every video is a work of art that carries the value of truth. And to achieve that, many journalists have had to sacrifice their time, effort, health, and even their lives.
Journalism does not make you rich. In the current difficult economic context, many journalists live on modest salaries, but are still passionate and dedicated. I have met reporters who, after work, work as motorbike taxi drivers, sell goods for hire, ship goods, etc. None of them complain. They smile and say gently: "Working extra to understand life better, to write better articles and still support the profession."
In the current era of technology and information explosion, when anyone can be a “news messenger”, the press has become a “lighthouse” more necessary than ever. And in that world, there are three types of journalists: professional journalists - those who shoulder responsibility to the newsroom and to society; amateur journalists - contributors who are dedicated to their passion; and self-proclaimed journalists - those who write based on personal inspiration on social media platforms.
Regardless of their position, if they bring excellent, inspiring works that contribute to the development of the country, spread kindness, compassion and aspiration to rise up, they deserve to be respected.
The 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day is not only an occasion to honor proud achievements, but also a time to pay tribute to journalists - those who have devoted themselves, silently and steadfastly bringing the breath of life into every page of writing. They are soldiers on the cultural and ideological front, the embodiment of courage and noble civic responsibility.
I bow to journalists - those who are always dedicated to the truth, to the people, and to an increasingly better Vietnam.
