Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet, Principal of Thuyloi University, shared that with the motto of action "Safety for development - Stability for further development", the school has implemented many practical solutions such as: Organizing seminars and workshops on preventing high-tech crimes, school violence, drugs and preventing violations of the law in cyberspace; launching competitions to learn about national sovereignty , propagating the Law on Cyber ​​Security, the Law of the Sea of ​​Vietnam and regulations on protecting the Fatherland in the new era; coordinating with the police force to ensure comprehensive security in the school; implementing effective models such as "Safe dormitory", "Youth Union without social evils".

The event "National Day for National Security Protection" had the participation of many universities, lecturers and students.

At the event, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuan, Deputy Head of the Internal Political Security Department, Hanoi City Police, said that the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Steering Committee for crime prevention, social evils and building the movement for the whole people to protect the Fatherland Security at all levels in Hanoi always pay attention to leading and directing the serious and effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system and the people, firmly building people's security, the people's hearts, contributing to maintaining political stability.

At the festival, many universities shared their experiences in building a safe and secure educational environment.

Thuyloi University received a Certificate of Merit from the Director of Hanoi City Police for its outstanding achievements in the "Movement for the whole people to protect national security".

Some universities have recommended that the Ministry of Education and Training should have a mechanism to facilitate universities to regularly organize dialogue activities and student forums with the police force, thereby helping students understand correctly, act properly, improve self-defense skills, and fight against bad and toxic information on social networks; increase investment in technical infrastructure, network security, and data security in university educational institutions; promptly reward effective models and advanced examples in protecting school security and order...

On this occasion, the Director of Hanoi City Police Department awarded a Certificate of Merit to the University of Water Resources and awarded Certificates of Merit to two individuals who had outstanding achievements in the "Movement for the protection of national security" in 2025, namely Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hue, Party Secretary, Chairman of the School Council and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Luong Bang, Head of the Administration - General Department.
