The final match of Group A of the 2024/2025 National U19 Football Championship saw a tense match between Ba Ria Vung Tau and Hanoi . Forced to win to reach the quarter-finals, the capital team rushed to attack after the opening whistle. Possessing a star-studded squad, Hanoi did not play very impressively.
During the first 45 minutes, Ba Ria Vung Tau organized a tight defense. They did not let the opponent's strikers have a chance to approach Hoa Xuan Tin's goal. The first half passed without any goals being scored.

In the second half, Ba Ria Vung Tau's counterattack quickly became effective. In the 54th minute, Pham Minh Quan fired a not-so-dangerous long-range shot, but Dinh Hai made a mistake and the ball flew into the net, opening the scoring for Ba Ria Vung Tau. Just 7 minutes later, taking advantage of the opponent's defender's indecisive clearance, Quang Khoi finished close to the goal to double the gap for Ba Ria Vung Tau.
In the 76th minute, a Hanoi player had a great cross for Viet Long to head in to shorten the score to 1-2. Just when it seemed that hope had been rekindled for the capital team, they were unable to beat Xuan Tin in the decisive phases. In the extra time, Quang Hung scored to seal a 3-1 victory for Ba Ria Vung Tau.
A draw against SHB.Da Nang was enough for Binh Duong to advance. However, the team from Thu Dau Mot did more than that. After a somewhat deadlocked first half, Binh Duong scored the opening goal of the match thanks to Anh Tai. In the 40th minute, Duc Phat accurately finished to increase the score to 2-0 for the Southern representative before the break.
In the second half, Le Van Hoan was the one who scored to help Binh Duong take a 3-goal lead in the 60th minute.SHB.Da Nang's efforts were not rewarded and they had to accept defeat, thereby saying goodbye to the tournament. In Group A, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Binh Duong took the lead and ranked 2nd respectively, winning the right to enter the quarterfinals.
