Before the meeting, the leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hoa commune divided into three groups to visit, burn incense, and observe a minute of silence to commemorate the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland at the martyrs' steles in the area.
At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the heroic revolutionary tradition of their homeland and the heroic sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the peace of their homeland today. After two resistance wars and international obligations, Tan Hoa commune has more than 1,316 people who have contributed to the revolution; of which, there are 485 martyrs, 76 people were awarded and posthumously awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother by the State. Currently, the commune still has 2 living Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
There are 72 relatives of martyrs receiving monthly pensions, 36 wounded soldiers, 8 sick soldiers, 7 people infected with toxic chemicals, 4 people who were imprisoned by the enemy, 6 people who were awarded medals, and 392 families worshiping martyrs.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Hoa commune affirmed: "The Party Committee, government and people of Tan Hoa commune will forever remember the contributions of heroes, martyrs, war invalids and meritorious people. Especially, after merging three administrative units into the new Tan Hoa commune, we must promote the strength of solidarity and make efforts to build our homeland to be more civilized, developed and affectionate."
