To prepare for the new school year, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuc's family in Minh Xuan ward bought her son a new bicycle so that he could go to school easily. She also bought him some new clothes, books, and school supplies. Ms. Thuc said: "I am very happy that the State will exempt tuition fees for high school students from the 2025-2026 school year, thereby contributing to reducing the burden at the beginning of each school year, creating motivation to promote improvement in the quality of education ."

Before the first day of school, Ma Thi Doanh, a Mong ethnic in Xin Man commune, was very excited. During the past 9 years of school, Doanh has worked hard to study and achieved the title of Excellent Student. In the 2024-2025 school year, she won second prize in the district-level competition for excellent students in Literature and excellently passed the entrance exam to T78 Friendship School. Doanh said: "In the new learning environment, I will try my best to study well so that I can return to help my family and hometown later."
Being present at Na Hang Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School on the first day of school, we witnessed the joyful and excited atmosphere when students returned to school after the summer break. Teacher Hoang Anh Tuan, the school's principal, said: "The school has organized cleaning and tidying up the classrooms and welcomed students back to school since August 24. On August 25, the school organized a flag-raising ceremony and met teachers and students of the whole school. Ready for the new school year
Previously, to prepare for the first day of school, educational institutions mobilized forces to clean classrooms, fully and thoughtfully prepare conditions for the new school year; strictly implementing regulations and instructions of the provincial Department of Education.
Schools have organized to welcome students from the old Ha Giang province to work at the new Tuyen Quang Provincial Administrative Center with their parents. Teacher Tran Thi Van, Vice Principal of Phan Thiet Primary School, Minh Xuan Ward, said: “In the new school year 2025 - 2026, the school has welcomed more than 50 students from the old Ha Giang province to study, and they have been arranged to study in different classes. In the first days of school, teachers and friends have cared for and encouraged them to create a close and familiar atmosphere so that they can quickly get used to the new environment and feel secure, striving to excel in their studies and training.”
Recently, in Thanh Thuy commune, the Provincial People's Committee held the Launching Ceremony of the Project to build Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School. This is a key project in 16 inter-level boarding school projects implemented in the province's border communes according to the policy of the Politburo , celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The project has a total investment of more than 211 billion VND. The project is built on an area of about 3 hectares in Na Thai village, Thanh Thuy commune, including 31 classrooms, 15 subject rooms, 1 library room; 25 public service rooms, 198 dormitory rooms for students and teachers, and many auxiliary works such as: Multi-purpose house, cultural activity house, kitchen - dining room, toilet - bathroom for students, football field...
Teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Quynh, Principal of Thanh Thuy Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, said: “According to the plan, this project will be completed and put into use in 2026. Currently, in Thanh Thuy commune, there are over 2,500 primary and secondary school students, of which nearly 50% of students are enjoying policies and boarding at schools.”

According to the Department of Education and Training, in the new school year 2025 - 2026, the whole province will have more than 17,000 groups and classes with over 509,000 students from preschool to high school. According to the plan, schools will simultaneously organize the opening day of the new school year on September 5, 2025. The work of preparing facilities, arranging and assigning staff and teachers has been carefully implemented by the education sector, aiming for a successful new school year.
