Realize ambition

After Quang Nam Club dissolved and Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club also refused to replace them, PVF-CAND Club had all the elements to participate in the most prestigious professional football playground in Vietnam, even though it did not have to compete in the play-off match. This caused a stir in the entire fan community.

PVF-CAND is one of the teams in the National First Division that always yearns for promotion. Established in 2018, the team originally named Pho Hien FC quickly became a real force in the First Division when it regularly entered the top 3 of the season.

PVF-CAND always catches up quickly and has a good start but often runs out of steam in the final sprint. In the 2019 season, this Hung Yen team won the runner-up position in the First Division, qualified for the V-League promotion play-off but lost 0-1 to Thanh Hoa.

Similarly, in the 2023-2024 season, PVF-CAND continued to finish second in the First Division and participated in the V-League promotion play-off. However, against the experienced Hong Linh Ha Tinh , the police team could not create a surprise when they lost 2-3, missing out on the V-League once again.

As one of the teams with the most modern facilities and training centers in Vietnam, PVF-CAND Club meets the professional requirements to participate in the V-League. When Quang Nam was dissolved, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai did not have time to prepare a replacement force, PVF-CAND unexpectedly received a "gift from heaven" when it was awarded a place to participate in the V-League, realizing its dream after nearly 8 years of participating in the professional playground.

Urgently prepare forces

The current headquarters of PVF-CAND Club is the PVF Youth Football Training Center - Ministry of Public Security, built on an area of nearly 22 hectares with an investment of more than 35 million USD. The center owns a system of 1 official stadium with a capacity of 3,600 seats and 6 standard-sized training fields with grass certified by FIFA Quality Prom.

PVF Center also has a system of modern functional rooms, often used by players inside and outside the club to live, practice, treat injuries, recover their health... Therefore, PVF is recognized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as a 3-star academy - the highest level in the AFC's rating scale.

In addition, PVF is also one of the teams with rich achievements in national youth tournaments, providing many excellent players for the Vietnamese national team at all levels. Therefore, the core force of PVF-CAND participating in the recent First Division Tournament is mostly young talents trained by the club itself.

Initially, PVF-CAND also hesitated to decide to participate in V-League 2025-2026 because the time was too short, there was not enough time to prepare the force, especially to find foreign players and upgrade facilities. However, after quick consideration, this team made the decision to "agree", making the V-League Organizing Committee "relieved".

Round 1 of V-League 2025-2026 will start from August 15. Coach Thach Bao Khanh's team is in the process of training, playing friendly matches, preparing for the new season. The whole team is racing against time to strengthen their squad before entering the tournament.

"No one wants to be a "backdoor" team in the professional arena, so we need to have an optimal plan to deliver a performance that satisfies the audience," said a key player of PVF-CAND.

Under the guidance of coach Thach Bao Khanh, PVF-CAND possesses many promising young players who have played for the U19 and U23 Vietnam teams. The most prominent among them are center back Nguyen Hieu Minh and midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac, members of the U23 Vietnam team that won the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship.
