After nearly 10 months of construction, the project has established its position in the top 10 largest exhibition center complexes in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia, ready for the exhibition of socio -economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The complex consists of many items, of which the two most important items were handed over ahead of schedule after only nearly 10 months of construction: Kim Quy exhibition hall and outdoor exhibition area. The remaining items such as permanent exhibition center, international standard conference and wedding center... are being completed and will be handed over on July 15.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh said that this is not only a valuable project in terms of technology and space organization, but also a cultural project of special importance, worthy of the region and the world , a symbol of the spirit of innovation, development and aspiration to rise in the new era.
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung assessed that Vingroup Corporation has coordinated with Hanoi and relevant ministries and branches to mobilize resources to build the Vietnam Exhibition Center according to high technical standards.
According to Mr. Hung, inviting experienced international consultants to jointly build the overall design, coordination and operation of the exhibition is an unprecedented task that can only be done quickly and effectively through the cooperation of businesses.
According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang - Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Corporation, after completion, the Vietnam Exhibition Center will become a destination for global events, international conference center, art festivals and cultural exchanges.
The exhibition of socio-economic achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day will be held from August 28 to September 5 at the main area of the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall. This is also the largest circular exhibition hall in the world with a total area of 104,863m² and a height of over 56m.
Vietnam Exhibition Center has a total area of 900,000m², the design scale is up to 304,000m²; the indoor exhibition area, internal traffic system and outdoor parking area is up to nearly 18ha.
