Viet Tri (Phu Tho) is ready for the first round of Group B.

VHO - On the morning of August 6, the Organizing Committee (OC) of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship held a professional meeting before the matches in Group B officially kicked off at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) from August 7-13, 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, the representative of the local Organizing Committee, Mr. Dao Tien Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, expressed his honor that Phu Tho is the host of a tournament with the participation of many strong women's football teams in the region.

“The local organizing committee has completed all preparations and is ready for the matches of Group B. We hope that, in addition to professional activities, the teams and officials will have time to experience local culture, leaving good impressions during their stay in Phu Tho,” said Mr. Dao Tien Cuong.

Representative of the local Organizing Committee, Mr. Dao Tien Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province spoke at the meeting.

On behalf of the VFF, Deputy General Secretary Nguyen Minh Chau welcomed the teams to Vietnam to participate in the tournament, and affirmed that he will closely coordinate with relevant parties to ensure the organization goes smoothly, contributing to creating the best conditions for the teams to compete.

According to the schedule, Group B will officially start on August 7. The opening match will be between the Australian women's team and Myanmar, taking place at 4:30 p.m.

Deputy Secretary General Nguyen Minh Chau welcomed the teams to Vietnam to participate in the tournament.

In the match at 7:30 p.m. the same day, the Timor Leste women's team will face the reigning Southeast Asian champion - the Philippines women's team.

Meanwhile, the matches of Group A – where the Vietnamese women’s team will participate – will take place at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ) from August 6-13. The opening match of the Vietnamese women’s team against Cambodia will take place at 7:30 p.m. on August 6.
