Mr. Ani Dasgupta, President and CEO of World Resources Institute: Important Government Support

I am honored to be present at the P4G Summit hosted by Vietnam and from the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Government of Vietnam for organizing this meaningful event. This year's conference brings together a large number of delegates representing countries, international organizations, and businesses from all over the world, to exchange experiences and discuss solutions to further promote the green transition. This is an issue of vital significance for our future generations.

Each country faces its own challenges on the journey to green transformation and building a low-carbon economy . These challenges may be related to capital, technology, policy, infrastructure or human resources. That is why the P4G Summit 2025 hosted by Vietnam is so important at this time. This is an opportunity for leaders of countries and businesses to sit together and find solutions to overcome the obstacles they are facing.

The green transition is taking place strongly in Vietnam and many countries around the world. This is a good sign for the common fight against climate change. Vietnam is a clear example of the government actively supporting people and businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, to participate in the green transition process, through solutions such as simplifying administrative procedures and reducing initial investment costs. These efforts by Vietnam aim to realize the goal of switching to using more clean energy .

Ms. Robyn McGukin, CEO of P4G: Igniting the desire for green startups

P4G is a forum focused on supporting early-stage startups, especially in developing countries, in technical and financial matters, while promoting cooperation under the public-private partnership mechanism to help businesses overcome difficulties.

P4G contributes to finding solutions to reduce emissions, mitigate the impact of climate change, and support projects in energy, water, and agriculture. Vietnam is a founding member and a partner of P4G since its establishment.

Since then, we have supported many startups in Vietnam focusing on areas such as energy, water, waste treatment, etc. We also focus on supporting innovative technology solutions, especially climate-smart solutions.

One startup in Vietnam that P4G is supporting is EBOOST, which is focusing on building a smart electric vehicle charging system with integrated modern management technology. This company focuses on Vietnam’s green growth goals. We are also working with the city of Hanoi to accelerate the transition of buses to green energy by 2030.

I believe that Vietnam has many advantages to develop science and technology to serve climate goals. We fully support green transformation solutions of Vietnam as well as other partner countries, especially solutions for the development of the Mekong Delta region, an important factor for prosperous development in Vietnam.

Mr. Finn Mortensen, Executive Director of the Danish organization State of Green: Denmark is ready to support Vietnam

Denmark is currently striving to take a pioneering role in the field of green transformation and sustainable growth, with the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2045.

We value the role and participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in promoting green growth. Therefore, Denmark has established six business development centers in its major cities. These centers are tasked with supporting businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, by providing free professional advice, appropriate to each stage of the company's development.

I can feel the strong spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in Vietnam. With its experience, Denmark is ready to support Vietnam by connecting small and medium enterprises and startups of the two countries.

Denmark also wants to share and discuss with Vietnamese partners the experiences it has accumulated in the green transition process, promoting sustainable development.

Dr. Malle Fofana, Regional Director for Asia, Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI): Science and technology development is inevitable

The world is facing a critical moment to step up action in the fight against climate change. This reality requires countries to accelerate research and development of scientific and technological solutions to serve the green transition process.

However, 75% of the technological solutions for the green transition in the world are still in the early stages. In addition, these solutions are only focused on easy-to-treat and low-emission sectors. Looking at large emission sectors such as heavy industry, there is a huge gap between the need to reduce emissions and the actual investment.

For example, the amount of waste that heavy industries discharge into the environment is huge. However, current cleaning technology can only treat 11% of the waste from heavy industries and is only concentrated in areas that are easy to treat.

In this context, the international community should consider investment in science and technology development, especially artificial intelligence (AI), to serve the green transition as an investment for future generations. To do this, the role of governments, businesses, investment funds, international organizations, and public-private partnerships is very important to ensure that startups receive the necessary support.

GGGI and Vietnam have many opportunities to cooperate together to develop science and technology to serve the green growth process in Vietnam. These include researching and implementing solutions to improve the efficiency of energy use, especially in the fields of heavy industry, transportation, and construction; supporting start-ups in the field of green transformation; and attracting investment capital for green transformation.
