Outdoor activities of students at a non-public school in Thu Duc City
On August 30, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City sent instructions to the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and 21 districts and non-publicpreschools , primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools on tuition collection, service prices, and price declaration from the 2024-2025 school year.
In particular, the tuition fees of non-public schools have an increase rate of no more than 10% compared to the previous school year for preschool and general education and are implemented publicly according to the provisions of law, and at the same time fully explained to learners and society.
Regarding the prices of service fees in the education sector, educational institutions continue to comply with the provisions of Clause 2, Article 5 of Decree 81/2021/ND-CP of the Government .
Prices of service fees in the education and training sector are adjusted according to a suitable roadmap commensurate with the quality of education and training services, but the rate of increase in service prices does not exceed 15%/year.
In particular, it is necessary to note the implementation of the tuition exemption policy for 5-year-old preschool children from the 2024-2025 school year (enjoyed from September 1, 2024) in Clause 6, Article 15 of Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City continues to implement the tuition support policy for preschool children, students, graduate students and researchers who are ethnic minorities in Ho Chi Minh City; private primary school students in areas without enough public schools; orphans and people in difficult circumstances in the city:
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requested non-public schools under the Department to urgently complete the settlement of student support funds according to Resolution No. 36/2023/NQ-HDND of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on special policies to support tuition fees for preschool children, public and non-public primary school students and continuing education students in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2023-2024 school year according to regulations. The settlement dossier must be submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training before September 30.
Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, noted that in the guidance on tuition fee collection, service prices and price declaration, non-public educational institutions must publicly disclose their commitment to the quality of education and training, the conditions of facilities and tuition fee collection, other fees, methods and time of implementation. At the same time, they are responsible for publicly disclosing and explaining to learners and society about the tuition fee collection and prices of services decided by the unit.
