On June 15, in London (UK), the GVB Prize 2025 Startup Competition took place. This event is part of the Global Vietnam Business Festival 2025 series of events with the theme "Green Transformation and Digital Transformation" organized by HaMy Academy (UK) & KAmedia in collaboration with the National Center for Supporting Innovative Startups (NSSC - Ministry of Science and Technology).

This year's competition attracted 146 entries from 5 countries and territories. After 3 preliminary, selection and semi-final rounds, the idea of "Straw wood - Artificial wood from straw" of Tra Vinh University passed the rounds, became the top 3 GVB Startup 2025, and officially attended the final round in London.
In the final round, the three teams presented their projects and answered questions from the judges and investors. As a result, the idea "Straw wood - Artificial wood from straw" by the group of authors Son Tran Minh Man - Nguyen Xuan Thanh - Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong (Tra Vinh University) excellently won the championship title of the competition.

Nguyen Xuan Thanh, representative of the group of authors re-entering the London competition, said: "Winning the highest position in the competition is a great source of pride for us. This is not only the victory of a project, but also a testament to the creativity and tireless efforts of Tra Vinh University students in developing sustainable solutions. We hope that the project will continue to be developed and applied in practice to contribute to environmental protection and green industry development in Vietnam and the world ."
The GVB Prize 2025 Startup Competition is an opportunity for young Vietnamese startups and creative Vietnamese ideas to reach out to the world as well as connect with international investors to explore funding opportunities and expand their cooperation network. In the context of the increasingly focused green transformation and digitalization trends globally, the competition has become an important platform for Vietnamese startup projects to develop and affirm their position in the international market.
