Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports successfully organized the Party Congress for the term 2025-2030

VHO - On the afternoon of June 24 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), the Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports for the 2025-2030 term took place successfully, marking an important milestone in Party building, strategic development orientation and enhancing the comprehensive leadership capacity of the Party Committee in the new period.

The congress was attended by 109/114 party members currently active in 9 party cells under the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports.

Speaking at the Congress, Member of the City Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Dang Quoc Toan acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements that the school's Party Committee has achieved in the past term.

Mr. Dang Quoc Toan said: “The school's Party Committee has seriously implemented the Party's resolutions and directives; constantly innovated the content and methods of leadership; focused on political and ideological work, improved the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the grassroots Party organizations; built a clean and strong Party Committee, contributing to affirming the role of the political nucleus in the whole school".

At the Congress, Mr. Dang Quoc Toan also suggested that the school's Party Committee focus on the following key tasks: "Continue to improve the quality of Party building work, focusing on political, ideological, ethical and lifestyleeducation for cadres, party members and students.

Actively innovate content, programs, and training methods in line with modern university sports practices. Promote scientific research, international cooperation, and application of technology in sports teaching and training; contribute to improving professional qualifications and creating the school's own brand.

At the Congress, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, and at the same time identified goals, directions, tasks and main solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress emphasized the need to continue to innovate leadership methods, improve the quality of Party cell activities, build a clean and strong Party organization, associated with professional development and building a contingent of cadres and Party members with good qualities, capacity and strong political will.

Within the framework of the Congress, there were typical presentations, focusing on the following contents: Building a team of cadres to ensure "Refined - Lean - Strong - Effective - Efficient - Effective" according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW; improving the quality of Party cell activities associated with professional tasks; Developing new Party members and training successors; Applying digital transformation in the management and operation of the unit...

Delegates vote at the Congress

The Congress also elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 7 members who are exemplary cadres with prestige, solid political qualities and leadership capacity.

At the first meeting of the Party Executive Committee, term XV, unanimously elected Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Viet Bao, Chairman of the School Council, to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary; Dr. Vo Quoc Thang, Principal, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary - Chairman of the School Party Committee Inspection Committee.

The Congress elected the new Party Executive Committee.

At the same time, the Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the new term was also strengthened with 3 members to ensure good performance of its monitoring and inspection functions, contributing to maintaining discipline throughout the Party Committee.

The Party Committee Inspection Committee of the school was introduced to the Congress.

The 15th School Party Executive Committee, term 2025-2030, based on the Resolution of the 15th School Party Congress and on the basis of thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the Party Congress at higher levels, continues to implement the entire program and specific work plans to successfully implement the Resolution of the 15th School Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
