On June 7, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said that the school's enrollment information complies with Official Dispatch No. 2457 on Guidelines for University and College Enrollment in 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training and Official Dispatch No. 2566 on Guidelines for implementing regular university enrollment in 2025 of Hanoi National University.
However, to create more opportunities for candidates to register for the school entrance exam, this year, the school's Admissions Council met, made a resolution, asked for the School Council's approval, reported to Hanoi National University and decided to adjust the admission information.
Specifically, adding the combination C03 (Math, Literature, History) and C04 (Math, Literature, Geography) to the admission method based on high school graduation exam results for 26 training majors of the school.
Add group C00 to the admission method based on high school graduation exam results for 17/28 training majors of the school including: Journalism, Social Work, Cinema and Popular Arts, Oriental Studies, Korean Studies, Management Science, Public Relations, Information Management, Tourism & Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, Office Management, International Studies, Psychology, Information - Library, Cultural Studies, Vietnam Studies, Sociology.
Thus, according to the newly adjusted enrollment information provided by the school, candidates taking the 2025 high school entrance exam will be given the best conditions to be able to register for the entrance exam to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Previously, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities announced its plan for regular university admissions in 2025. Of which, up to 17 majors will no longer be admitted using the traditional C00 combination, including: Journalism; Social work; Oriental studies; Korean studies; Management science; Public relations; Information management; Tourism and travel services management; Hotel management; Office management; International studies; Psychology; Information - Library; Cultural studies; Vietnamese studies; Sociology; Cinema and popular arts. Meanwhile, last year, the school considered the C00 combination for 26/28 majors, except for Southeast Asian studies and Japanese studies.
In response to public opinion when the school removed the C00 admission combination for 17 majors close to the high school graduation exam time, causing confusion and anxiety among students, on the afternoon of June 6, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to universities, academies, and colleges about reviewing and announcing admission information for university level and college level in Early Childhood Education.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that in recent days, the press and candidates have reported that some universities have announced incomplete enrollment information, with some information changing, causing anxiety and passivity among candidates.
To provide complete and accurate information, the Ministry of Education and Training requires schools to properly implement the regulations and instructions for enrollment; schools need to review the methods and admission combinations suitable for the programs, majors, and groups of training majors for each method to ensure fairness; not affecting the rights of candidates, especially at the present time when candidates have completed registration for the 2025 high school graduation exam.
