Vietnam Maritime University works with the US Embassy

On July 16, Mr. Marc E. Knapper - US Ambassador to Vietnam and his delegation visited the training facility for students at Vietnam Maritime University, opening up many cooperations between the parties.

On the afternoon of July 16, the Board of Directors of Vietnam Maritime University hosted a reception and worked with Mr. Marc E. Knapper - US Ambassador to Vietnam within the framework of the working program of the US Embassy in Vietnam with Hai Phong City.

Accompanying the Ambassador were Diplomatic Officers, Economic Officers, Defense Officers and staff of the Embassy's departments and offices in Vietnam.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - Principal of the School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Vice Principal of the School and leaders of the Department of International Relations, Department of Student Affairs, Faculty of Maritime, Faculty of Marine Engineering, Institute of International Training, Faculty of Electricity - Electronics and Institute of Postgraduate Training welcomed the delegation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - President of Vietnam Maritime University and the Board of Directors welcomed and worked with Mr. Marc E. Knapper - US Ambassador to Vietnam and the delegation.

During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Xuan Duong - President of Vietnam Maritime University introduced an overview of training and coaching capacity, and emphasized the field of international cooperation that the school has focused on very early.

In particular, the traditional and effective cooperation programs between Vietnam Maritime University and leadingeducational institutions in the United States not only bring benefits to the school and students, but also clearly demonstrate the spirit of integration and cooperation for the future.

During the working session, the school's Board of Directors and the delegation from the US Embassy in Vietnam visited the cockpit simulation and safety training pool serving the training of students.

The visit and working session of the US Ambassador to Vietnam at Vietnam Maritime University was a great success and opened up more opportunities for cooperation between the parties.

Within the framework of the 3rd Session of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC 3) taking place in Hai Phong City from July 15-18, Hai Phong City organized an investment promotion conference with the theme "Hai Phong - Strategic destination of the new era".

The meeting gathered about 1,000 delegates, including about 250 international delegates, including ABAC members from 21 APEC economies, leaders of national corporations, financial institutions, research and innovation centers and international organizations.

In particular, the event was attended by many Ambassadors from the world's leading economies such as the United States, Germany, Korea, Japan, Singapore... carrying an important message, demonstrating support at the national level and being a guarantee of prestige, strengthening the confidence of investors.
