On the afternoon of June 27, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism received the handover of the site. Vietnam Exhibition Center, a center rated in the top 10 The world's largest exhibition center complex and the largest in Southeast Asia.
The handover was organized in time for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare for the organization of the Socio -Economic Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the upcoming 80th anniversary of National Day.

Vietnam Exhibition Center - a symbolic project of the aspiration to rise up
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day - assessed that this is a project serving a very important event.
Not only valuable in terms of technique and space organization, this is also a cultural work of special importance, worthy of regional and world stature, symbolizing the spirit of innovation, development and aspiration to rise.
Emphasizing that the exhibition of socio-economic achievements with the theme "80 years of independence - freedom - happiness" is an activity with profound historical and humanistic significance, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as the standing agency, needs to continue to preside over the completion of the project on organizing the exhibition.
At the same time, develop an implementation plan, clearly assign tasks and coordinate exhibition preparation activities in a scientific, methodical and effective manner.

Smart design, lightning-fast construction in 10 months
Vietnam Exhibition Center is located on Truong Sa Street, Dong Hoi and Xuan Canh Communes, Dong Anh District, Hanoi, built to organize national and international political - economic - cultural - tourism events.
The complex consists of many items, of which the two most important items were handed over ahead of schedule after only nearly 10 months of construction: Kim Quy exhibition house and outdoor exhibition area.
The iconic structure is associated with the legend of the Golden Turtle God of Co Loa land, where the exhibition hall was built. This is also the largest circular exhibition hall in the world with a total area of 104,863m2 , a height of over 56m, which can well meet the display of large equipment and machinery.
In particular, the dome is massively designed with 24,000 tons of steel, with a safety factor twice as high as normal, using lightweight, super durable, translucent fiberglass fabric, meeting the green architecture standards and saving energy of global-scale projects.
In terms of functionality, the exhibition hall is planned into 9 halls, with an area of 9,419 - 10,478m².
The halls are intelligently designed and can be opened up to create the second largest interconnected exhibition space in the world or separated into independent zones, allowing organizers to be flexible and optimize exhibition space.
Each lobby is integrated with ancillary services such as coffee shop, restaurant, and functional rooms.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the Kim Quy exhibition house not only bears a unique architectural mark associated with national legends, but also demonstrates Vietnam's aspiration to reach international stature in the exhibition industry.
Immediately after receiving the handover, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will prepare for the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day held at Kim Quy Exhibition House, from August 28 to September 5.

Top 3 in the world in terms of outdoor exhibition scale
The outdoor exhibition area with a total area of over 200,000m2 is introduced as one of the top 3 in the world in terms of outdoor exhibition scale, suitable for events, exhibitions, large-scale cultural and tourism festivals as well as organizing many activities at the same time.
The North Stadium is designed for large concerts with a capacity of up to 50,000 spectators, with ideal infrastructure conditions to organize world-class concerts.
