The Chinese Football Association announced the recruitment of social monitors, aiming to strengthen the management of officials and players after a series of corruption scandals.
According to a recruitment notice posted by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) on March 28, those recruited will be responsible for supervising football officials, football activities, and soliciting public opinions on the development of the country's football ecosystem.
The CFA also issues rules for reporting, handling and disciplining violations of competition rules or sports ethics by football officials, players, coaches and referees that cause changes in the outcome or progress of the match.
Whistleblowers who provide accurate information will be rewarded with $276-2,760. Those who repeatedly provide valuable tips will receive special rewards. Supervisors can provide information by phone, letter, or email.

These measures were issued in the context of China rectifying its domestic sports industry, exposing a series of scandals that shook the football world.
Former CFA President Tran Tuat Nguyen was sentenced to life in prison on March 26 and had all of his assets confiscated for accepting bribes 217 times in 23 years, totaling $11.4 million.
Li Tie, former head coach of the Chinese men's national football team, was charged with five counts of bribery, worth $16.5 million. Li has pleaded guilty and is facing life in prison.
Several Chinese sports officials have also been found to be involved in corruption. Yu Hongshen, former president of the Chinese Athletics Association, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for accepting $3.1 million in bribes. Du Zhaocai, former deputy director of the General Administration of Sports, was accused of accepting $5.5 million in bribes.
