Tra Leng officials and people support overcoming natural disaster consequences in Nghe An

ĐNO - On the morning of August 8, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Leng commune organized a launching ceremony to support the people of Nhon Mai commune, Nghe An province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

According to Chairman of Tra Leng Commune People's Committee Chau Minh Nghia, in recent days, prolonged heavy rains have caused flash floods and landslides in many mountainous provinces in the North and Central regions. In particular, Nhon Mai Commune suffered heavy losses in terms of human lives and property, many households lost their homes and fell into difficult circumstances.

Tra Leng - a locality that experienced a serious landslide disaster in 2020, deeply understands the loss and pain of people in the disaster area. During the disaster 5 years ago, the people of Tra Leng commune received meaningful help from all over the country, helping the locality recover from the pain.

The Chairman of Tra Leng Commune People's Committee called on cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, businesses and people in the commune to promote the tradition of mutual love and support, join hands to share with people in disaster-hit areas, and help people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Tra Leng Commune will accept donations until August 14, 2025. The locality commits that all funds and donated items will be made public, transparent, and delivered to the correct addresses and recipients in need of support.

At the ceremony, many agencies, units, organizations and individuals in the area directly contributed more than 120 million VND.
