At the same time, pre-marital health consultation and examination for adolescents; pregnant mothers, mothers with young children with a support package providing newborn screening and diagnosis services (newborn screening by dry blood sample testing method) for children. The above activities are implemented in 8 communes and particularly difficult areas: Kiet Son, Lai Dong, Dong Son, Tan Son, Thu Ngac, Kim Thuong, Xuan Son, Vinh Tien, Tam Thanh, Thu Cuc, Tan Phu, Thach Kiet.

Along with counseling and screening, the District Health Center also provided training on Nutritional Care in the first 1,000 days of life for mothers and children, integrated into pre-, intra- and post-natal care to improve the stature, physical strength and longevity of ethnic minorities. Organized 20 counseling sessions, guided nutritional practices, and demonstrated meals for pregnant mothers and mothers with children in the first 1,000 days of life, and malnourished children under 5 years old.
