Over 1 billion VND to support orphans and disadvantaged children on the occasion of the new school year

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2024-2025, the Women's Union at all levels of Hung Yen province organized many practical and meaningful activities to care for orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the area.

On this occasion, the Hung Yen Women's Union at all levels socialized resources and coordinated with functional agencies to give gifts and sponsor nearly 1 billion VND to 869 orphans and children in difficult circumstances, and at the same time connected new sponsors for 34 orphans with a total amount of 122.4 million VND.

In My Hao town (Hung Yen), the Women's Union of the town coordinated with philanthropists to donate bicycles, bookshelves, desks, textbooks, school supplies, and uniforms to disadvantaged students in the area with a total value of nearly 20 million VND; godmothers donated 250 million VND to 63 orphans in difficult circumstances.

The Women's Union of Tien Lu district (Hung Yen) organized a meeting and sponsored 60 orphans in difficult circumstances who are being sponsored by two units, Hung Yen Garment Corporation - Joint Stock Company and Tien Hung Joint Stock Company, with a total amount of 240 million VND, including 10 newly sponsored orphans.

In Phu Cu district (Hung Yen), the Women's Union branches actively grasped the situation of students in the area to promptly organize activities to care for and support them with school supplies, books and notebooks. The whole district had 19 orphans in difficult circumstances, 65 children in difficult circumstances were given gifts worth 66.5 million VND; sponsored 12 new children and gave gifts worth 17.4 million VND.

Women's Union and excellent students overcoming difficulties in Hung Yen city in the 2023-2024 school year visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum

On the morning of August 24, 2024, at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the Women's Union of Hung Yen City held a ceremony to report to Uncle Ho for 50 excellent students of the 2023-2024 school year who are orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the city. This is a reward and great encouragement for orphans in the "Godmother" program being implemented by the Women's Union at all levels. Along with visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, the children visited the stilt house, Uncle Ho's fish pond, the relic site... This is the place to preserve memories of the last years of Uncle Ho's life.

With a sense of responsibility and dedication, through practical and meaningful actions, the cadres, members and collectives of the Women's Union at all levels of Hung Yen province have contributed to bringing joy to orphans and children in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the new school year opening. This also shows the community's solidarity and contribution to the children through the "Godmother" program.
