Candidates review for 2025 high school graduation exam

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, this year there are 99,578 candidates registered to take the 2025 high school graduation exam (an increase of 8,891 candidates compared to last year). Of these, 1,638 candidates will take the exam under the old program (GDPT 2006) and 97,940 candidates will take the exam under the new program (GDPT 2018).

Also in this year's high school graduation exam, in terms of elective subjects, foreign languages led in the number of candidates registering with 49,328 students (accounting for 50.37%), followed by physics with 43,176 candidates (44.08%) and chemistry with 27,796 candidates (28.38%). Natural science subjects were also chosen by many students with a total of 79,045 candidates.
To ensure security procedures, the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that at all graduation exam locations, cameras will be installed to monitor the entire room where exam questions and test papers are stored.
Specifically, the surveillance camera ensures coverage of all items containing exam papers and test papers in the room and actions affecting those items; stores all data of the process of preserving exam papers and test papers at the testing site; and operates continuously even when there is a power outage.
In addition to the monitoring equipment, there is a police force on duty in the room to preserve the exam papers and test papers. Police officers will join the leaders of the testing site in receiving the exam papers, sealing them, making a record and being on duty in the room...
Similar to the exam sites, at the high school graduation exam marking council, the Department of Education and Training also installed surveillance cameras for 20 days, starting from June 30 to July 20, after the exam marking process is completed.
