According to the Telegraph , Spurs will have to pay a compensation fee of up to £10 million to complete the deal with Brentford. The two clubs have been in discussions over the weekend to agree terms of the deal.
Thomas Frank is said to be keen to replace Postecoglou, who was sacked after Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League. The 51-year-old is hoping to bring his Brentford coaching staff to London as part of the deal.
Despite Tottenham's recent upheaval, Brentford have only beaten Spurs once in Frank's nine games in charge, that lone victory coming in May 2023 when Bryan Mbeumo scored twice to give Brentford a 3-1 away win.
Tottenham want to complete the appointment of Thomas Frank as soon as possible, with many rivals making positive moves in the transfer market. The addition of an experienced coach like Frank is expected to help Tottenham regain their form and aim for higher goals next season.
Previously, many Tottenham players were said to be very dissatisfied when the board of directors fired coach Postecoglou. Many faces in the first team are ready to say goodbye to the club this summer.
An anonymous player told the Daily Mail : "The players are very angry with what happened. The new coach will face a difficult situation."
