1. Ngoc Son Princess Garden House (Ngoc Son Princess Temple)
Address: 31 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Phu Hiep, Hue City
Located in the heart of Hue city, Ngoc Son Princess Garden House is not only an ancient architectural work but also an inseparable part of the soul of the capital. This is one of the typical garden houses in Hue that still preserves intact the vestiges of the ancient palace, once owned by members of the Nguyen Dynasty royal family.
According to the current owner – researcher Phan Thuan An and his wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Suong – the house used to be the residence of Princess Ngoc Son, the daughter of King Dong Khanh. After being devalued, the princess was given land by her father to build a palace, and this place became her home for a long time. Notably, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Suong is also a descendant of Princess Ngoc Son, contributing to preserving the original architectural value of Hue's traditional houses combined with the principles of Eastern feng shui.
The entire campus is harmoniously designed in the shape of a dragon facing a tiger, with all the elements of a front porch and a main house, with a clear lake in front, a wind-blocking screen and a main house in the traditional Hue wooden house style. Stepping in here, visitors will feel like they are reliving an ancient space, where time seems to slow down amidst the light scent of lotus and the shade of old trees.
Not only does it have architectural value, the house also preserves many valuable relics such as royal decrees, traditional toys, and Chinese bowls from the 15th century - vivid evidence of the daily life and culture of the Nguyen Dynasty princesses. This is truly an ideal destination for those who love to experience Hue culture, learn about ancient architectural relics and immerse themselves in the nostalgic setting of an ancient palace in the heart of the ancient capital.
