As part of the Consulate General's August 2025 work plan, the trip aims to strengthen cooperation with the locality, while demonstrating the affection and responsibility of the Party and State towards the overseas Vietnamese community in the Northeast region of Thailand.
In his welcoming speech, Governor Anan Nakinyoem highly appreciated the visit, which demonstrated the concern and goodwill of the Vietnamese representative agency, and praised the practical contributions of the Thai community of Vietnamese origin to the local socio -economic development. The Chaiyaphum provincial government always creates favorable conditions for the overseas Vietnamese community to integrate, do business, develop the economy, and stabilize their lives in the locality.
Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh expressed his gratitude to Governor Anan Nakinyoem and generations of leaders of Chaiyaphum province for their good feelings towards Vietnam in general, their active cooperation with the Consulate General and their favorable policies towards the overseas Vietnamese community in particular. Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized that the Thai community of Vietnamese origin plays an important role in promoting the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand.

Speaking at the meeting, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh hoped that the leaders of Chaiyaphum province would continue to pay attention to introducing Vietnamese into the general education system, creating conditions for the young generation of Thailand to better understand Vietnam and support overseas Vietnamese to learn and preserve the Vietnamese language. This is a positive and meaningful measure to build a solid foundation to promote cultural exchange and friendship between the people of the two countries.

Assessing Chaiyaphum as a large province in the Northeast of Thailand, with many advantages and potentials in agricultural production and tourism, the Consulate General of Vietnam is ready to connect and promote the cooperative relationship between Chaiyaphum and localities of Vietnam. The cooperative relationship between localities of the two countries is increasingly important, contributing to concretizing and deepening the overall comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Thailand that has just been upgraded.
On this occasion, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh presented Governor Anan Nakinyoem with a Vietnamese-Thai bilingual book "Uncle Ho in Thailand" which was recently released in Thailand.
Governor Anan Nakinyoem said he has special respect for President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese people.
The working program was implemented on the 58th anniversary of ASEAN (August 8, 1967 - August 8, 2025), adding more positive meaning, opening up many contents and prospects for cooperation between the Consulate General of Vietnam and the Government of Chaiyaphum province in the coming time.

Also on August 8, at a working session with the Executive Committee of the Thai-Vietnamese Association of Chaiyaphum Province, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized the significance of learning Vietnamese in preserving Vietnamese cultural identity, traditions and the close relationship between people and their homeland.
Presenting the Vietnamese language teaching and learning books, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh hopes that the Association will promote the opening of more Vietnamese language classes, take measures to encourage and motivate people, especially the young generation of overseas Vietnamese, to learn and use Vietnamese, and practically respond to the Vietnamese Language Honor Day in the overseas Vietnamese community.

On this occasion, the delegation also informed the community about the Consulate General's program to celebrate the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the end of August 2025. These include cultural diplomacy activities honoring President Ho Chi Minh; economic diplomacy activities to contribute to the implementation of Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, while also responding to the Vietnam-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
