While investigating, Thanh Nien reporters discovered that the link on the official website of the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City still leads to the same account page as before the upgrade.

Regarding the above question, the Consular Section of the US Consulate General has responded and provided full instructions for those who are planning to apply for a US visa.

First, to log in to the system, visit the website and wait to be redirected to the "Apply for a US Visa" page.

On the application page, all new users of the system must register and create an online profile for the first time. Applicants who already have a valid payment receipt linked to their account, or have a valid appointment scheduled for the future, must still register for an account the first time they use the system.

To register, click the “Register Now” link at the bottom of the login page and follow the instructions. When registering in the new system, these applicants must use the same email address registered in their current profile, to transfer fee payment receipts and future appointments from the old system.

If the applicant paid the fee before September 28 in the old system but has not linked the receipt to the application, the applicant can click on "Register Now" at the bottom of the login page to log in to the new system and confirm the receipt by entering the receipt number and payment date into the new system.

The express delivery fee will be adjusted on September 28, even if the applicant chooses express delivery service before this deadline.

The general steps for applying for a nonimmigrant visa remain the same.
