Attending the conference were leaders of the Departmentof Education and Training; representatives of relevant departments and branches; leaders of the Department of Education and Training, kindergartens and primary schools in the area.
At the conference, delegates listened to reports and reports summarizing the implementation of the two projects. Through the implementation process, the two projects have achieved many positive results.
Specifically, with the project to develop preschool education, the whole province currently has 231 preschools; the rate of mobilizing preschool children to attend class is 98.9%, 5-year-old children is 99.9%; 100% of children attend 2 sessions/day; 83.5% of classrooms are solidified. The rate of children meeting language requirements is over 96%; the number of malnourished children has decreased gradually over the years. At the same time, the rate of preschools meeting national standards is 53.4%, exceeding 18.4% compared to the target of the province's preschool education development plan by 2025 (35%).
Regarding the Vietnamese language enhancement project, 100% of ethnic minority children in the province are given age-appropriate Vietnamese language enhancement classes. Teaching Vietnamese based on the mother tongue has been expanded to 129/231 kindergartens and 196/244 primary schools. Various activities such as "Vietnamese Language Festival", "I love Vietnamese", green library, book corner, stories... contribute to creating a friendly language environment for ethnic minority students. Thanks to that, the quality of teaching Vietnamese in primary schools has changed significantly: the rate of students completing Vietnamese well in the 2024-2025 school year reached 67%, an increase of more than 12% compared to the 2021-2022 school year...
At the conference, delegates presented and discussed the following contents: implementing STEM education in preschools; improving the quality of activities at non-public preschools; experience in enhancing Vietnamese language for ethnic minority students in Cao Loc, Chi Lang, Loc Binh districts; building a gender-integrated educational environment, developing language based on mother tongue...
On this occasion, 66 groups and 66 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Director of the Department of Education and Training for their outstanding achievements in implementing the two projects.
