The whole province has 94 new rural communes.

(QBĐT) - Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Deputy Chief of the Office for Coordination of New Rural Areas (NTM), Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development, said: After many years of implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, the province has achieved many outstanding results.

The new rural construction movement creates strong spread

Specifically, after a long journey of striving to build a new rural area, Quang Binh has 2 district-level units completing the construction of a new rural area; 97 communes have met the new rural standards, 17 communes have met the advanced new rural standards and 6 communes have met the model new rural standards.

Regarding OCOP products, after more than 5 years of implementing the "One Commune One Product" OCOP program, the whole province has 141 3-star OCOP products, 34 4-star OCOP products and especially, for the first time Quang Binh has 3 potential 5-star OCOP products.

Despite many difficulties in the process of building the new rural area, the results achieved have affirmed the efforts, dedication and responsibility of the people and local authorities. It is expected that after the arrangement of administrative units, the newly consolidated apparatus will promptly start reviewing and continuing to develop criteria, thereby ensuring the construction of the new rural area is continuous, uninterrupted and highly effective.
