The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to organize a film series to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) nationwide.
The Department of Cinema presides over and coordinates with Feature Film Joint Stock Company I, Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company, Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, Vietnam Animation Film Studio, People's Police Cinema, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Film Distribution and Screening Center, Cinema Center, Cultural - Cinema Center, Cultural - Art Center, Cultural Centers of provinces and centrally-run cities to deploy the film campaign in August and September 2025.
The film series is a meaningful cultural and cinematic activity aimed at widely propagating to the masses, especially the young generation, about pride in the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great national unity in the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland. Through the cinematographic works, viewers will review the heroic history of the nation, thereby raising awareness and sense of responsibility in the cause of building, protecting and developing the country.
Within the framework of the Film Festival, from August 12 to 14, in Dak Lak province, the Department of Cinema presided over and coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, Feature Film Joint Stock Company I, Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company, Dak Lak Film Distribution and Screening Center to organize the opening ceremony of the film festival; at the same time, organize an exchange program between film artists and people, armed forces and students in Dak Lak province.
Accordingly, the opening ceremony of the film series will take place at 7:30 p.m. on August 12, at the Dak Lak Provincial Film Distribution and Screening Center.
The films screened in Dak Lak province include: Documentaries “Flying on the Wings of Freedom”, “Special Companion” produced by People’s Police Cinema; feature film “Nam Xuan Memories” produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company; feature film “Ba Gia Di Bui” produced by Feature Film Joint Stock Company I…
Also within the framework of the film campaign, artists and actors of the three film crews “Peach, Pho and Piano”, “The Old Lady Goes Busy” and “Nam Xuan Memories” interacted with the people and soldiers of the Mobile Police Battalion of Dak Lak Provincial Police (August 12); officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command (August 13); officers, lecturers and students at Tay Nguyen University (August 14).
