Warren Tierney, 37, of Killarney, Ireland, initially suffered from a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. He went to ChatGPT to ask about his symptoms instead of going to see a doctor.
The AI reassured him that his chances of getting cancer were “very low” and even joked. Because of his beliefs, Tierney delayed treatment for crucial months.
When he arrived at the hospital, he was diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer. Tierney admits to regretting letting chatbots replace medical advice. OpenAI claims the system cannot be used to diagnose diseases.
The man said he just wished he had time to see his child grow up. Dear readers, please watch more videos : AI Trash - New problem on social networks VTV24
