Dr. Tran Tan Phuong, a member of the ST25 rice variety author team, who created the "World's Best Rice", was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Soc Trang province.

On May 25, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee, handed over the decision to transfer and appoint Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Soc Trang.

Accordingly, Dr. Tran Tan Phuong, Director of the Agricultural Seed Center, a member of the author team that successfully hybridized the ST25 rice variety, creating the "World's Best Rice" grain, was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Soc Trang.

Speaking at the Decision handover ceremony, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated Dr. Phuong's efforts in recent years and hoped that in his new position and role, Mr. Phuong would continue to perform well the assigned tasks.
