We visited the V-Organic Agricultural Cooperative (Cooperative) in Van Son Commune, at a time when the Cooperative was focusing on harvesting tomatoes in the main season. Ms. Can Thi Thuy Trang, Chairwoman of the Cooperative Board of Directors, said: “With an area of nearly 3 hectares of tomatoes grown in greenhouses, the Cooperative has been promoting the effectiveness of the high-tech agricultural model”.

In previous years, the cooperative exported many types of vegetables to the Korean market and received high praise. Currently, taking advantage of the off-season, the cooperative focuses on producing tomatoes to supply large supermarkets in Hanoi . Every day, V-Organic Cooperative supplies the market with more than 200 kg of high-quality tomatoes, meeting the needs of consumers in the capital.

In 2025, the cooperative plans to expand the organic vegetable growing area to nearly 10 hectares. This will not only help the cooperative increase its production scale but also create opportunities to connect with local households. Through product consumption and technical support, the cooperative is building a sustainable chain of links, helping people feel secure in production. This model creates stable jobs for 10 local workers, with an income of over 5 million VND/person/month, contributing to improving the lives of people in mountainous areas.

Working in an organic vegetable production environment, I feel very secure because I do not have to come into contact with toxic chemicals. Moreover, I also learned farming techniques, a lot of valuable knowledge that I applied right in my home garden and became a vegetable growing household for the cooperative."

Ms. Bui Thi Hien - Khao hamlet, Van Son commune said: When joining the cooperative, we no longer have to worry about finding individual consumption markets. The cooperative plays an important role as a bridge, signing contracts to consume products with supermarkets, clean food store chains and exports. Thanks to that, we have stable output, guaranteed prices and are not forced to lower prices by traders. Organic vegetable products also have much higher economic value than conventional vegetables, helping to significantly increase income for people. Members have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other to improve skills and productivity. When there are risks of weather and disease, the cooperative will have support policies to help members overcome difficulties, minimizing damage to each household.
