Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visits overseas Vietnamese family in France

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of June 7 local time, during a bilateral activity program in the French Republic, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the family of Vo Ba Luan - owner of a restaurant specializing in Japanese food in the famous tourist coastal city of Nice in the South of France.

Mr. Luan said that his hometown is Can Tho , his family is poor, when he came here to study in 2003, his parents had to work very hard. He changed his career direction to open a restaurant in 2016, after a period of working. Thanks to that, he has now been able to take care of himself, his wife and children who are living in France and his parents who are living in Vietnam.

Expressing his joy at welcoming the Prime Minister to visit and being moved by the attention that the Party and State leaders have shown to our overseas Vietnamese, he said he is very proud to be Vietnamese, always paying close attention to the situation of the country, and is extremely excited to see that the country is developing rapidly thanks to the correct and wise leadership and management of the Party and State and the drastic and effective direction and administration of the Government.

He said he always tries to do a good job, live honestly and return to his homeland when possible; he wants to continue expanding his business and creating jobs for Vietnamese people.

Kindly asking about his family, hometown, and business, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised and hoped that Mr. Vo Ba Luan and his family would continue to promote the spirit of overcoming difficulties, striving to rise up, complying with local laws, and when conditions permit, supporting our compatriots, especially students and international students, promoting "national love and compatriotism", those who go before help those who come after.

The Prime Minister hopes that Mr. Vo Ba Luan and the Vietnamese community in France will grow stronger and stronger, contributing to promoting the good image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends and promoting the role of a bridge between the two countries.

The Prime Minister asked the Vietnamese Embassy to continue to do a good job in protecting citizens, especially paying attention to helping overseas Vietnamese when they encounter difficulties and uncertainties.
