Prime Minister sends letter praising achievements in destroying major drug rings

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just sent a letter of commendation to the functional forces that have organized the fight against and destroyed drug trafficking and illegal transportation lines from foreign countries into Vietnam in large quantities.

Busting a drug case

The Prime Minister sent a letter of commendation to the Border Guard High Command; the Border Guard Commands of Quang Tri and Ha Tinh provinces; the Border Guard Command of Da Nang City, and the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force (under the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Border Guard High Command).

The Prime Minister commended the forces that successfully organized the fight against Projects QB525 and HT825, destroying drug trafficking and transportation rings from foreign countries into Vietnam in large quantities, arresting 3 subjects, seizing 535.5 kg of various drugs and many related exhibits and documents, ensuring absolute safety.

The achievements of the forces have demonstrated their bravery, determination, intelligence and cleverness in the fight against drug crimes, contributing to protecting a peaceful and happy life for the people, and beautifying the glorious tradition of the Border Guard and the heroic Vietnam People's Army.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of National Defense to promptly commend and propose worthy commendations for collectives and individuals directly involved in solving cases; to widely propagate, learn from, and follow the spirit of fighting and preventing crime of the Border Guard units in the past; at the same time, continue to direct the Border Guard force to preside over and closely coordinate with functional forces to step up the fight against all types of crimes, especially transnational drug crimes, to prevent drugs from entering Vietnam, contributing to protecting the safety and happiness of the people.
