Exciting Youth Union and Pioneer activities in schools

In recent times, Youth Union and Young Pioneer chapters at all levels in schools in the province have constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, bringing a "new breeze" to Youth Union and Young Pioneer activities.

Movements and activities of the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers in schools are not only useful playgrounds but also provide lessons beyond textbooks, equipping students with practical knowledge, helping them develop their personalities comprehensively. Therefore, in recent times, Youth Union and the Young Pioneers at all levels in schools in the province have constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, bringing a "new breeze" to Youth Union and the Young Pioneers activities.

For example, the thematic activity "Building beautiful friendships, saying no to school violence" of the Ly Tu Trong Primary and Secondary School Union, Nghia Lo Ward. More than 1,000 students of the school were provided with knowledge to understand the groups of behaviors that manifest school violence; learn about the causes of school violence and pay attention to solutions to prevent and stop school violence.

Along with that, students also discussed measures to build beautiful friendships; the positive meaning of beautiful friendships for learning, cognitive attitudes, and behavior. Thereby, propagating and educating students about the meaning of friendship, contributing to building a friendly school.

That is just one of many activities organized by the Union to develop soft skills for students. The Union also organizes thematic activities "Every week a beautiful story, a good book, a shining example" at the flag-raising ceremony on Monday of the week; organizes for the members and children to go to "red addresses".

In addition to educating about life ideals, the program "Vietnamese Children - Study well, practice diligently" for primary school and "Vietnamese Youth - Cultivate virtue and talent, lead the future" for secondary school were effectively implemented by the Union; the Club "Preserving traditional cultural beauty" helps children love the culture of the Thai Muong Lo people more... Those meetings and activities have contributed to the comprehensive development of morality - intelligence - physical fitness - aesthetics for the team members.

Currently, the province has more than 196,500 members, operating in 596 teams and 6,115 sub-teams. To care for the "young" generation, the teams have mobilized support and helped more than 16,000 disadvantaged children with a total value of more than 4.5 billion VND; organized for more than 68,000 children to go to "red addresses" to educate about revolutionary traditions.

In particular, at the National Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress, Lao Cai was honored to have 2 children receive the Kim Dong Award - the most noble award of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers.

If the teams create the initial foundation, the Youth Union work in schools will continue to develop, shape, and create young people with “pure hearts, bright minds, and great ambitions”. Last year, the whole province organized more than 260 sessions to study and disseminate resolutions, attracting over 75,000 union members and young people to participate.

The revolutionary action movement was strongly deployed, associated with 3 major movements: Volunteer Youth - Creative Youth - Youth in the vanguard to protect the Fatherland. More than 300 propaganda programs on seas and islands, cyber security, and military service were organized, attracting about 50,000 union members to participate. Over 200 legal education programs were deployed, reaching nearly 95,000 union members. Career counseling and learning support activities were focused on with nearly 350 counseling programs for 25,000 students.

In particular, more than 200 learning clubs and 100 foreign language clubs are operating, creating interesting playgrounds. Many schools have done a very good job in this work.

Secretary of the Youth Union of Cam An High School, Bao Ai Commune - Le Minh Ngoc shared his experience: “With more than 800 members and young people, right from the beginning of the school year, the School Youth Union has built a plan to consolidate and strengthen the organization of the Youth Union and the School Youth Union with the motto "Quality is the focus, uniting and uniting young people is the top priority". Therefore, the forms of gathering and uniting young people are always developed in many diverse forms. The School Youth Union has established clubs such as: literature and art, science and life, radio and media, digital transformation. This is where the members perfect their skills and express themselves in the collective, confidently showing their strengths".

From the achieved results, in the coming time, Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union determined to continue expanding the scale and diversifying the forms of Union and Team activities in schools, meeting the needs of Union and Team members as well as improving the quality of comprehensive education in the new period.

At the same time, Youth Union chapters at all levels will boldly innovate, focusing on depth and practicality to build a new generation of youth who are both patriotic and revolutionary idealistic, and have skills, knowledge and courage”...

The new school year has begun with a new spirit and determination. With the theme "Lao Cai Children Firmly Stepping into the New Era", it is hoped that many exciting Youth Union and Young Pioneer activities will be strongly implemented in the 2025-2026 school year, effectively supporting teaching work, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education for students.
