(CT) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi Long ward has just held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Thanh Long bridge (old rice warehouse bridge) in Rach Sung area.

The newly built Thanh Long Bridge is 25m long, the bridge surface is 3.5m wide, and is expected to be completed after 3 months of construction. The total value of the project is over 344 million VND, from social mobilization sources; at the same time, local people contributed 110 working days. This is a work to welcome the Congress of Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

According to Mr. Vo Minh Trieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, in addition to the above project, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has carried out many practical projects and tasks to welcome the congresses of the Front at all levels. Typical examples include building a Great Unity House for people in difficult circumstances in the Bac Vang area; cleaning the environment and clearing Ton Duc Thang Street, with a total length of 2.5km; cleaning the environment and clearing Nha Lau Canal, Thoi Hoa B area, with a total length of 1.2km...
