Reporting on the results of the work to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung said that so far, 38/63 localities have completed the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. The country has supported the elimination of more than 262,000 temporary houses, reaching 94%; of which 41,500 houses are for people with revolutionary contributions, reaching 93%. The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions strives to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of August this year.
Regarding the implementation of important national projects and works, key projects of the transport sector, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh said that up to now, 19 projects/component projects have been put into operation. Notably, the completion and putting into operation of the total number of expressways in the country from 1,327km to 2,268km, putting into operation the T3 terminal of Tan Son Nhat International Airport; 52 projects/component projects are being implemented and basically following the set schedule.
Ministries, sectors, localities and the entire political system are determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before August 31; including housing support for relatives of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions to be completed before July 27.

Regarding the disbursement of public investment capital, Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang said that by June, 264,000 billion VND had been disbursed, reaching 32% of the plan, higher than the same period last year. However, as of June 20, nearly 7,360 billion VND had not been allocated in detail to 17 ministries, agencies and 21 localities.
In Phu Yen, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has completed 2,222/2,235 houses, reaching 99.41%, finishing ahead of schedule. The total cost of implementation is more than 218 billion VND, of which nearly 65% was mobilized from the community, businesses and people. The progress of the North-South expressway component projects passing through the province is being ensured. Site clearance and technical infrastructure relocation have been completed; construction materials have been fully supplied. The disbursement rate reached 89%, construction output reached 77% of the contract value. The disbursement of public investment capital has been drastically promoted, with the disbursement rate of the whole province by the end of June estimated at 32.3%, equal to the national average. The province has focused on removing obstacles, handling bottlenecks, urging construction progress and transferring capital reasonably between projects, contributing to promoting local economic growth.
Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, branches and localities to regularly review, urge, promptly detect and remove difficulties and obstacles arising in each project, especially key projects. Urgently review and evaluate the disbursement status of each project; classify projects according to disbursement level; thereby building a specific disbursement schedule and having appropriate solutions, promoting disbursement to achieve the set target.
Regarding the implementation of important national projects and works, the key transport sector, the Prime Minister emphasized that this is an issue related to public investment and development, and that the target of 3,000km of expressway must be completed this year, including the expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau to celebrate important national events. The Prime Minister requested that in the coming time, ministries, branches and localities make efforts to complete important national projects and works. At the same time, he hoped that ministries, branches and localities, after each meeting, must make progress and achieve results to strengthen the people's trust in the spirit of "what is said is done, what is committed is done", what is done must have specific results.
