Today, July 23, although storm No. 3 has dissipated, the weakened disturbance from the storm still causes heavy rain in the North and neighboring areas.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from last night to this morning, July 23, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An , southern Phu Tho and Son La will have heavy to very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally 40-100mm, locally over 200mm.

Warning of risk of heavy rain (>150mm/3 hours). Thunderstorms may have tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Other places in the North and Ha Tinh have moderate rain, some places have heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, locally over 100mm.

Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

The South and other places have intermittent sunshine, sometimes showers. In the late afternoon, some places have heavy rain.

Regarding storm number 3, today the storm weakened and moved west southwest, then continued to weaken into a low pressure area in Upper Laos.

In addition to causing rain, low pressure will cause dangerous thunderstorms in the western sea area of the Gulf of Tonkin, coastal waters and mainland provinces from Quang Ninh to Nghe An.

Hanoi is cloudy with moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. Lowest temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius, highest 28-30 degrees Celsius.

The Northwest is cloudy with moderate rain, some places have heavy rain and thunderstorms, especially in the south of Phu Tho and Son La there will be heavy to very heavy rain. The lowest temperature is 22-26 degrees Celsius, the highest is 27-30 degrees Celsius.

Northeast region cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius, highest 28-31 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa to Hue cloudy, north (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An) heavy to very heavy rain; south showers and thunderstorms. Lowest temperature 24-27 degrees Celsius, highest 30-33 degrees Celsius.

South Central Coast cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms. Lowest temperature 26-29 degrees Celsius, highest 31-34 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands showers and thunderstorms in some places, heavy rain in some places in the evening. Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees Celsius, highest 27-30 degrees Celsius.

The South is cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places, heavy rain in some places in the evening. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius, highest 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City is cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places, and heavy rain in some places in the evening. The lowest temperature is 24-26 degrees Celsius, the highest is 31-33 degrees Celsius./.
