High School Graduation Exam 2025: A journey of love and responsibility

The 2024-2025 school year marks an important milestone when the 2018 General Education Program completes its implementation cycle, with 12th graders taking the high school graduation exam for the first time under the new plan.

This is not only a challenge for students but also an opportunity for each teacher to look back on the past journey, review what has been done, learn from experience and propose solutions for the new journey, to affirm the mission of teachers in the journey ofeducational innovation.

Opportunities from policies – Motivation for teachers to devote themselves wholeheartedly

On June 16, the 15th National Assembly officially passed the Law on Teachers - the first specialized law that fully regulates the legal status, rights, obligations and policies for teachers, including a notable new point that teachers' salaries are ranked highest in the administrative career salary scale system. This is the driving force to improve teachers' lives, this is the ideal condition for teachers to focus all their efforts on quality regular teaching hours. Instead of racing with extra-curricular teaching sessions, we can invest time in creative lesson preparation, apply positive methods, and most importantly - closely accompany each student, have enough time to comprehensively evaluate students, and motivate them to self-evaluate.

Curriculum innovation requires teachers to change their mindset from “teaching words” to “teaching people”, from imparting knowledge to developing capacity. This year, 12th graders will take the high school graduation exam according to a new assessment method – not just memorization but also critical thinking and practical application. This forces each teacher to upgrade themselves: teaching integrated in the digital ecosystem, applying technology, and especially understanding students’ psychology to orient appropriate careers.

As Minister Nguyen Kim Son once emphasized: "The quality of education depends on the quality of the teaching staff". When the policy has created momentum, each teacher should see this as an opportunity to prove their professional value. Teaching wholeheartedly is not only a responsibility, but also a source of pride - when we contribute to training generations of students who develop comprehensively in both intelligence and personality.

After the 2025 high school graduation exam, the new school year begins. With a loving heart and enthusiasm for the profession, teachers will promote the wisdom of the whole industry with the spirit of "all for beloved students", walking together on the path of innovation - steadfast, creative and full of enthusiasm.
