Candidates in Ho Chi Minh City are radiant on the day of high school exam procedures.

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of May 25, more than 1.1 million candidates nationwide gathered at testing sites to complete procedures for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

More than 1.1 million candidates nationwide were present at the examination sites to see the examination room diagram, listen to drum instructions as well as important information before entering the official exam day of the 2025 high school exam.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training , this year, the whole country has 1,137,183 candidates registered to take the exam under the 2018 General Education Program and 24,951 candidates under the 2006 General Education Program (Photo: Nam Anh).

Many candidates seemed quite comfortable on the day of exam procedures.

"I have prepared very carefully, because the exam follows the new program, so I have to equip myself with more complete knowledge. According to a report from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, this year in Ho Chi Minh City there are nearly 100,000 students (an increase of nearly 9,000 compared to 2024) at 171 exam sites with 4,242 exam rooms (Photo: Nam Anh).

Of these, 168 test sites with 4,180 test rooms are for candidates following the 2018 generaleducation program, and 3 test sites with 62 test rooms are for candidates following the 2006 general education program. This is also the largest exam ever, with the participation of more than 1.1 million candidates across 63 provinces and cities, held at 2,493 exam locations with more than 50,000 exam rooms (Photo: Bao Quyen).

The official exam in 2025 also brings many notable changes. The number of exam sessions has been increased to 2, and in particular, each exam room can have up to 5 different subjects (Photo: Bao Quyen).

In addition, the number of exam codes for each subject will double compared to previous years with 48 exam codes (each exam session has 24 exam codes). Previously, the subjects (except literature) only had 24 exam codes (Photo: Bao Quyen).
