Candidates go home in the rain after high school graduation math exam

This afternoon, June 26, in Ho Chi Minh City, it was pouring rain. Many parents and candidates braved the rain to go home after taking the Math exam for the 2025 high school graduation exam.

At the 2025 high school graduation exam sites such as Thu Duc High School (Thu Duc City), Vo Truong Toan Secondary School, Trung Vuong High School (District 1), Le Quy Don High School (District 3), Han Thuyen High School (Phu Nhuan District)... thousands of parents stood waiting for their children in the rain on the afternoon of June 26.

After the math exam ended, due to heavy rain, many exam locations created conditions for parents to move into the waiting area to pick up their children.

Mr. Hoang Van Phuc (living in Thu Duc City) shared: "Although it was raining heavily, I still tried to stand near the gate so that my child could see me as soon as he left the exam room. Today, parents come here not to hope that their children will get high scores, but only to encourage and accompany their children on this journey."

Hundreds of parents patiently stood in the rain waiting for their children to finish their math exam in Ho Chi Minh City.

Amidst the heavy rain, not only parents but also volunteers stood in the rain outside the exam site to support candidates.

Before that, from 13:00, many candidates were present at the examination sites to prepare for the Math exam - the second subject of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

This year, nearly 100,000 candidates registered for the high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City. The city has arranged 171 exam sites with a total of 4,242 exam rooms. Of these, 168 exam sites with 4,180 exam rooms are for candidates following the 2018 general education program and 3 exam sites with 62 exam rooms are for candidates following the 2006 general education program.

Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that in the Literature exam on the morning of June 26, for the 2025 high school graduation exam, Ho Chi Minh City had 276 students from the 2018 General Education Program who dropped out of the exam, compared to a total of 96,498 registered candidates, reaching a rate of 99.71%. Meanwhile, in the 2006 General Education Program, there were 797 candidates registered to take the exam, none of whom dropped out, reaching a rate of 100%. Also on the morning of June 26, a candidate in Ho Chi Minh City had a stomachache and had to go to the emergency room. Mr. Ho Tan Minh said that relevant departments are completing procedures to consider special high school graduation for this candidate.
