3 more banks adjust interest rates

From this morning (June 23), ABBank adjusted its deposit interest rates, with a sharp decrease from 0.45 to 0.7 percentage points for terms of 6 months or more.

This is the first time since early June that ABBank has reduced deposit interest rates after the market witnessed dozens of banks making adjustments.

According to the latest online interest rate schedule, the interest rate for 6-7 month deposits has decreased from 8.2% to 7.7%/year; the interest rate for 8-9 month deposits has decreased from 8.2% to 7.75%/year.

Interest rates on deposits with terms of 10-13 months have dropped sharply from 8.3% to only 7.8% per year. This is also the new interest rate for deposits with terms over 13 months after a shocking drop of 0.7 percentage points.

Previously, ABBank was a rare bank in the market that publicly listed deposit interest rates above 8%/year.

SeABank also announced new deposit interest rates, with the highest reduction of 0.7 percentage points for all terms. The 6-month term is only 6.8%/year; the 7-month term is 6.85%/year, and the 8-month term is 6.9%/year.

The 9-month online deposit interest rate at SeABank also decreased to 6.95%/year.

The sharpest decrease was in the 12-month term, down to only 7.1%/year (from 7.8%/year yesterday).

Even the interest rates for 15 and 18 month terms at SeABank are only 6.85% and 6.9%/year respectively.

Similarly, TPBank continued to lower deposit interest rates for the third time since the beginning of June. TPBank reduced interest rates by 0.3 percentage points.

Accordingly, online mobilization interest rates for terms of 6-18 months are only 7%/year. Terms of 24 and 36 months are 6.9% and 6.8%/year, respectively.

The remaining banks keep the old deposit interest rates.

Since the beginning of June, the market has recorded more than 20 banks reducing deposit interest rates, including: Agribank, Vietcombank, BacA Bank, NamA Bank, PVCombank, TPBank, BaoViet Bank, GPBank, BIDV, Sacombank, VIB, HDBank, NCB, OCB, BVBank, VPBank, SCB, VietA Bank, TPBank, SHB , HDBank, KienLongBank, MB, ABBank and Saigonbank.

Of which, BIDV, VietinBank, VPBank, BaoViet Bank, Saigonbank, VietA Bank, OCB, SCB, GPBank are the banks that have reduced interest rates twice since the beginning of the month.

TPBank, VIB, and HDBank alone reduced interest rates 3 times in June, while NCB adjusted them 4 times.
