Not including holidays
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai - Inspector shared that the unit was assigned to coordinate with the functional department of the Department of Construction to inspect the declaration of transportation fares, posting fares on vehicles and collecting fares; conduct a general inspection at ticket agents to strictly handle the act of increasing fares against regulations.
Inspectors use data extracted from journey monitoring devices and cameras installed on cars to detect, prevent, and handle violations (regarding data transmission, vehicle journeys, speed, driver working time, carrying more passengers than prescribed, etc.).

According to Mr. Hai, before entering the peak traffic safety season of the holidays, the inspection force conducted a general inspection of provincial and national highways passing through Quang Nam to control and mobilize people not to encroach, illegally use the roadway, sidewalks and road traffic safety corridors.
Through road inspection and examination, the inspection force requested that the unit that has completed the construction work under exploitation must clean up materials, tools, signs, barriers, and restore the road to its original state so that people can travel safely.
Also through inspection, the Department of Construction Inspectorate discovered and reported damage to traffic infrastructure and locations causing traffic safety loss so that the competent authority could issue a document requesting the management contractor and road maintenance unit to urgently repair damaged signs, markers, soft guardrails, patch potholes, clear longitudinal ditches, repair curbs, and repaint faded road centerlines...

Even on holidays, traffic inspectors are always ready to coordinate with traffic police to control vehicle weight and handle vehicles carrying overloaded or oversized cargo.
The image of inspectors standing in the blazing sun checking cargo vehicles on routes DT609, National Highway 14B, National Highway 14D, National Highway 40B, and Lang Hoi intersection (Phuoc Son district) - the intersection between National Highway 14E and Ho Chi Minh Road - has become familiar to local people.
For the people to serve
Chief Inspector of the Department of Construction - Mr. Truong Van Son shared that the matter of not taking holidays or Tet holidays for traffic inspectors is not worth mentioning because it is a responsibility and obligation.

“During the Tet holidays, we consider it the peak of the peak, requiring us to uphold our sense of responsibility. Then, after the storm has passed, the unit assigns teams, including leaders, to quickly check the situation. When we see fallen trees blocking the road, we immediately bring chainsaws to cut the trees so that people can move smoothly, even though it is the duty of the road management unit and the locality,” said Mr. Son.
During their duties, the traffic inspectors regularly focus on propaganda work. At inland waterway ports and river crossings, inspectors thoroughly instruct and require ship drivers and vehicle owners to carry the correct tonnage, strictly comply with regulations on safety and conditions for waterway transport business.

At the river crossing and passenger terminals, the Department of Construction Inspectorate focuses on checking compliance with regulations on epidemic prevention, ensuring life-saving equipment, carrying the correct number of people, and preventing fires and explosions on vehicles.
In places where compliance is not achieved despite being informed and having signed commitments, the working groups must resolutely suspend the operation of illegal ferry terminals and passenger vehicles that do not meet safety standards...
The Department of Transport Inspectorate also urged the People's Committees of communes with cross-river passenger wharves to increase their responsibility in ensuring traffic safety and order at the wharves. The unit coordinates with functional forces to ensure traffic safety at inland waterway wharves; has plans to arrange and regulate vehicles to enter and exit to pick up and drop off passengers reasonably to avoid congestion or collisions of vehicles in the wharves area, all for the peace of the people.
In the first months of 2025, the Department of Construction Inspectorate organized 3 conferences to disseminate legal regulations on road transport activities in 2025 to bus station owners, business owners, cooperatives, business households, vehicle owners and drivers. In particular, promoting the dissemination of the Road Law, the Road Traffic Safety and Order Law, the Inspection Law and documents guiding their implementation. Integrating into the inspection, examination and handling of violations; civil servants and inspectors of the unit disseminated the main contents of traffic culture, regulations on freight and passenger transport business; regulations on protection of road traffic infrastructure. In addition, the Department of Construction Inspectorate also conducted inspections related to motor vehicle registration and driver training.
