Mr. Vu Khanh Toan, Deputy Director of Lang Son Electricity Company shared: The company always determines to promote online electricity bill payment to improve service quality, bringing convenience to customers. With that goal, in recent times, the company has concretized it with practical actions.
Accordingly, at all customer meetings or working sessions with district and city authorities, Lang Son Power Company focuses on discussing and coordinating with authorities at all levels to promote people to use online electricity payment. Subordinate power units proactively carry out propaganda and guidance for customers at meetings and community activities in villages, residential areas, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Truong, Deputy Director of Bac Son Electricity, said: Bac Son Electricity has assigned departments and teams to residential areas to propagate, guide and encourage people to install online electricity payment applications. Thereby, customers can make online electricity payment quickly and conveniently. Currently, 100% of new customers of Bac Son Electricity make online electricity payment, up to now, the rate of customers paying electricity bills in Bac Son district has reached 98%.
To promote online electricity bill payment across the province, Lang Son Electricity Company has proactively joined hands with VNPT, Viettel ..., encouraging customers to open and use e-wallets (VNPT Money, Viettel Money); coordinating with 8 commercial banks and 9 intermediary organizations to deploy connection with online payment software with the debt warehouse of the Northern Power Corporation, customers using electricity in the province can pay electricity bills online anytime and anywhere.
Ms. Vi Mai Anh, Bac Son town, Bac Son district shared: My job is quite busy and I often have to go on business trips away from home, so when it comes to paying the electricity bill, I often forget. Therefore, Bac Son Electricity staff came to advise and support me to install the online electricity payment application on my smartphone. Through this form of payment, it has helped me a lot.
Ms. Ly Thanh Huyen, Deputy Head of Business Department, Lang Son Electricity Company said: Previously, when paying electricity bills, customers had to travel a long distance to the commune's central post office to pay, but now, when implementing and applying online electricity bill payment, everything has changed completely, people install the application on their smartphones and with just "one touch" can pay the electricity bill.
It is known that currently in Lang Son province, there are still about 11 thousand electricity customers who have not made online electricity payment methods, most of these customers are in remote and disadvantaged communes in the province. In order for these customers to access the services and utilities of the electricity industry, Lang Son Electricity Company has been actively working with VNPT Lang Son, Viettel Lang Son, and local banks to coordinate propaganda and mobilize customers to use smart phones to install and open VNPT Money, Viettel Money e-wallets, install Internet Banking, thereby making online electricity payment.
Currently, the rate of electricity customers in the province paying electricity bills online is 95.73%, an increase of 2.33% compared to the end of 2024, exceeding the planned target for 2025 (95%). Lang Son Electricity Company is still making further efforts to reach the goal of 99% of customers paying electricity bills online, thereby bringing convenience and satisfaction to electricity customers in the province.
