According to the Thanh Mien District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project to prevent landslides and reinforce the left bank of the Hong Quang River has a total investment capital of 42.77 billion VND.

Of which, the province supported 21.5 billion VND, the rest was taken from the district budget. The project is about 4 km long, starting from the bridge of the new residential area of ​​Hong Quang commune to the Ba Da culvert area. The scale of the project includes dredging the riverbed and building embankments to prevent landslides.

The project is implemented to overcome landslides, clear the flow to ensure agricultural production and daily life of people in the northern part of the district. This project also helps connect to the drainage system for Phi Xa pumping station and contributes to ensuring safety for the corridor of Provincial Road 393.

The project to prevent landslides and reinforce the left bank of the Hong Quang River has been implemented since October. Up to now, the construction unit is dredging the riverbed, creating a flat surface, casting piles and concrete slabs to contain the soil. Thanh Mien District strives to complete the project by March 2025.
