Experts at CloudSEK have just discovered 193 malicious applications containing the SpinOk malware. Of these, 43 are still active on the CH Play app store.
According to Bleeping Computer, the SpinOk malware was first discovered late last month. They are capable of stealing information files and data in the temporary memory of Android smartphones.
The list of some of the applications found to contain the SpinOk malware includes:
- HexaPop Link 2248 (5 million downloads)
- Macaron Match (1 million downloads)
- Macaron Boom (1 million downloads)
- Jelly Connect (1 million downloads)
- Tiler Master (1 million downloads)
- Crazy Magic Ball (1 million downloads)
- Happy 2048 (1 million downloads)
- Mega Win Slots (500,000 downloads)
To date, apps containing the SpinOk malware have attracted a total of about 30 million downloads. If you have installed these software, users should quickly remove them from their smartphones.
Recently, security experts have continuously discovered hundreds of malicious applications on the CH Play store. It can be seen that Google will need to be more serious in censoring software on the company's app store.
