In addition, the Department closely monitors and promptly reports on diseases, weather, climate, and hydrology, especially monitoring the development of pests and diseases on crops, promptly notifying on the media so that farmers can proactively produce and effectively prevent them; continue to recommend a concentrated and simultaneous rice planting schedule, avoiding planthoppers, and preventing the emergence of harmful organisms in rice production.

At the same time, the Department strengthens the management of growing area codes and packaging warehouse codes; guides enterprises and cooperatives on regulations and technical barriers of export markets; procedures for preliminary processing, processing and preserving agricultural products to ensure food safety, meeting the requirements of agricultural product exports, especially to large and demanding markets.
